Dr. Eman Taha

Dr. Eman Taha is an Associate Professor at the Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute (EPRI), Cairo, Egypt, specializing in advanced polymer nanocomposites and sustainable materials for energy, environmental, and construction applications. She earned her Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from Cairo University in 2018, where she focused on electrically conductive fiber nanocomposites.
Her research spans fiber-reinforced polymers, shape-memory materials, and recycling technologies that contribute to green construction, radiation shielding, and electromagnetic protection. Her scientific contributions have been published in leading international journals and books, and her work is widely recognized in the fields of materials science and applied physics.
Dr. Taha has fostered international collaborations through research fellowships at the University of New Mexico, USA, and the University of Lyon, France, as well as participation in advanced schools supported by ICTP, IAEA, and SESAME.
Her achievements have been honored with several awards, most notably the Dr. Mohamed Amin Lotfy Prize in Physical Sciences (ASRT, 2024). She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Physics (UK), a member of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), and actively contributes to scientific communities advancing women in science and sustainable development.
