i was awarded a PhD fellowship to study in the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. It was a great opportunity to study in a centre of excellence and interact with students from different nationalities. I am grateful for the award as it enabled me to be what i am today. I was also awarded a small amount of money to carry out part of my studies in Leslie Hill Molecular Laboratory in Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden in Cape Town, South Africa.
